New study of Piketty, Saez, and Zucman (2016) about inequality in US. Some main important observations:
1. Bottom 50% of incomes have experienced 0 growth in income during almost last 40 years.
2. Top 1% saw their income tripled between 1979 and 2016 !!!
3. Top 1% income growth derived mostly from capital income (housing rents only small part)
4. Extremely high gender inequality among the top 1% incomes.
May that explain Trump’s victory ? !!
